Dr. Narian Naidu, is a medical microbiologist with more than 25 years of research on bio active
substances and their benefits on human health. As an international expert on protective and therapeutic applications of natural
bio active compounds, Dr. Naidu's scientific collaborations extend to Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, India,
Italy, Poland,Netherlands, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. Dr. Naidu also is an elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine
(London); The International Society for the study of Vulvo-Vaginal Disease; and the Linnean Society of London. He is an active
member of 15 scientific societies including the New York Academy of Sciences, the American Society of Microbiology, the Institute
of Food Technologists and the International Association for Food Protection.
After receiving his PH.D. in 1985 from the Faculty of Medicine, Osmania University, India, Dr.
Naidu has worked for several agencies, including the World Health Organization, the Hungarian Ministry of Health, the Directorate
of Medicine and Health Services of the Government of India, and the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. Dr. Naidu has held
faculty positions as a professor at several Universities including the Pecs Medical University, Hungary; the Lund University,
Sweden; the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA; and the California State University, USA.
Dr. Naidu is on advisory panels of several multi -national companies, an invited speaker to many
universities and scientific organizations around the world. As a prolific writer, he has authored research chapters in more
than 25 scientific reference books. Dr. Naidu is also the editor of the highly acclaimed reference volumes, Natural Food Antimicrobial
Systems; and Lactoferrin; the two best sellers of the CRC Press.
Early work on Staphylococcal food poisonings and toxic shock syndrome brought International recognition
to Dr. Naidu. He received the European Young Scientist Award in 1989 from the European Society for Clinical Microbiology and
the Par Excellence Citation for Medical Research in 1992 from the Lund University in Sweden.
Dr. Naidu began his journey with milk lactoferrin research from the mid-1980s in Sweden and published
over 50 peer-reviewed scientific articles on this topic. In 1999, he made a major breakthrough in this research area with
the invention of 'activated lactoferrin'. This revolutionary technology is commercialized and rewrote the concept of food
safety worldwide.
Nikken and Dr. Naidu joined hands to introduce the Next Generation of dietary supplements. Lactoferrin
